And it only takes a few steps to actually get there. That’s right, all those other architectural photographers in Seattle wish they had organic Google rankings like I have. Here’s how to actually see it.
- Go to the Google Home Page.
- Type this in the search field exactly “seattle architectural photographers“. Yes it needs the “s” on the end of photographer.
- Click the “Google Search” button. As of the writing of this article I’m the 4th listing after local businesses.
- Now click the “Show options…” link in the upper left, just above the business listings.
- Then click on the “Images from the page” link that shows up on the left.
Whew. That wasn’t too hard. Here’s what I see when I do those steps. I took the liberty of removing all the distracting elements from the page, which really were not important.

If you change your search term to “seattle architectural photographer” I come in second.
Now to get all my competitions clients to drop them and hire me because I rank so well on Google. I should probably also try to figure out WHY I’m getting such good rankings. I used to be way down in the list even without doing the extra things.
Thanks to my pal Will Austin for pointing this out.

News, Recent Work
Rampathon 2009 happened on March 16th. 32 teams of volunteers built 32 ramps for deserving people and families. For my part I visited 7 ramps and took pictures of the teams and some of the recipients for use by the MBA and the participating volunteers. I was only able to get team pictures at 6 of the ramps as the 7th one finished before I was able to show up.
The weather this year was absolutely beautiful. It wasn’t as hot as last year, but it was still sunny for a lot of the day. I’m sure the volunteers appreciated not having to deal with rain.
Here are the pictures of the teams that I visited:

Rampathon
I had a pleasant surprise today when I drove into the Master Builders Association parking lot. I posted earlier about an image of mine from last years Rampathon that the MBA was using for a banner. I had been made aware of the use and had been provided the following image so I knew what it was going to look like.

What I wasn’t prepared for was just how large it was going to be.

MBA 100 Year Anniversary Banner
Yes, the banner is 2.5 stories tall. I wasn’t expecting that. The image is about 8 feet tall. Thanks to David Bleiweiss of House Doctors in Issaquah for being such a good subject.

Continuing with the Master Builders Association Care Foundation Rampathon coverage, the Snohomish County Media Ramp was dedicated today and I attend to get pictures. Thankfully the weather was much nicer to us. There were heavy clouds, but the rain stayed away and the sun even broke through a few times.

Two of the three recipients of this ramp
Today’s ramp was built by Pacific Ridge Homes. There were actually three recipients for this ramp as each member of the home has mobility issues and the ramp will make it much easier and safer for them to access their house.

Putting on the plaque
This is a great example of how to pose for a picture. He’s looking right at the camera, he making sure his Rampathon t-shirt is showing, and the plaque is visible. Very nice.

Rampathon Crew Makes It Happen
Here’s a lot of the Rampathon team along with the Pacific Ridge Homes crew and one of the recipients. A lot of people and coordination goes into the Rampathon event every year. This year over 30 ramps will be built and completed on May 16th.
